June 7th, Fan Fest River Stages Show

Well, Fan Fest has come to a close for us..it’s 9pm Thurs nite, and I’m standing in a curb in Brentwood, TN waiting for the tour bus, headed to Rockton, IL then to Detroit, MI. Had a great time jamming this morning, however-no matter how you slice it, most of the red solo cups onstage were filled with coffee…) Cheers!

It’s that time of year again, where tens of thousands of country fans congregate in Nashville for a week of music and celebrity sightings. We’re playing our annual Fan Club party this morning….someone pass the coffee….!!

Atlantic City

What a beautiful day on the boardwalk! MG is playing a show at the Tropicana tonight, then it’s back to the house for Memorial Day. A big thank you to our past, present and future American Heroes!

I Love NY….

I’m just old enough to remember the “I love NY (for a great vacation)” ad campaign of the early 1980’s. I still enjoy every trip to the city, and have begun to drag a few band members around in search of the city’s best cup of coffee. Today we ended up in NJ doing a show at the infamous Starland Ballroom. Tomorrow, Atlantic City. Tuesday, Seattle, Friday- Tacoma, Saturday- Sacramento. Better put on a pot of coffee…

May 25, 2012 NYC

Summer’s Here (that reminds me of a song). Traditionally, a touring musician posts most of their travel miles during June, July and August. Let’s just see where the Summer of 2012 leads us! First stop, NYC to kick off the ” Summer Concert Series” on Fox & Friends. Coffee’s hot, and it’s early. Make it a great day!

Big Night at the Surf Ballroom!

MG played a show at the legendary Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, IA on 2-25-12. Buddy Holly played his last show at the Surf before the terrible plane crash that took the lives of himself, Ritchie Valens, The Big Bopper and the pilot in Feb 1959. I was able to visit the memorial out in the farmers field, still adorned with loving tributes from fans, 53 yrs later.
